With a perennial clear river, wonderful bird life and stunning mountain scenery, Mount Ceder has activities for every taste and level of fitness. Come to the Cederberg and enjoy the mountain scenery and the many activities Mount Ceder has to offer, or just read a book at your house and relax. In addition to the many opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and swimming on the property, we are also within driving distance to many other Cederberg attractions and various 4×4 routes.
Rock pool Hike:
This is an intermediate 1.5 hour walk along a well-marked pathway. Admire the beautiful mountains and rock formations along the way. You will have the chance to see Klipspringer and a variety of birds. In summer the waterfall into the Rock Pool is not very strong, but the cool pool of water at the bottom is always there – a lovely place to swim and cool off during your hike.
Viewpoint hike:
A 3-hour intermediate hike along an old jeep track takes you to absolutely stunning views over Blinkberg mountain towards the Tankwa Karoo and onto the Grootrivier valley. You will have the chance to see Klipspringer and a variety of birds along the way.
